Mark Lowry

Some of my friends are going to have a fit, my recommending a Protestant minister's web site -- but if you don't know who Mark Lowry is, you're in for a treat. Mark is the amazingly talented (and hyperactive) musicican and comedian who wrote the hauntingly beautiful "Mary, Did You Know?" which is on the Favorites List of every single Catholic I know. He's one of God's special gifts to us.

Hi Laura!

Just checking out your blog. Thanks for responding to my post on the forum. I see you are a music lover! Do you write music as well?

Have a great day. :-)

Tammy, I don't compose, I mostly sing and play at the piano, but if you click on Randy's name (Contributor) -- he is a very accomplished musician and a downright decent composer! Be sure to check out his Heirship link on the right-hand side -- ahhhhh, those were the days... maybe?

I would love to hear you sing or play! I love music; I sing and write songs. I checked out Randy's page but I could not find the Heirship link! Perhaps I am not as internet savvy as I think. ;-)

Tammy,
Look under Randy's photo on his blog -- there's a teensy little box with "Heirship" in it -- click on that.

Shirley,
Our public tv station actually airs the Gaither Homecoming Hour on Saturday nights, and this evening they featured Mark and a tape of him singing that song. I almost bawled. It is beautiful, isn't it!
